I design and make contemporary jewellery, inspired by the Victorian fascination with museums and collecting.
My work intends to encapsulate a semblance of sentimentality for the wearer, for example my lockets could contain the owner's desired secret object. Whereas with my glass vessels I curate a microcosm of categorisation and observation, containing little creatures to inspect closer, as an amateur Victorian collector would do in a Wunderkrammer or cabinet or curiosity. I also cast and hand form a selection of Victorian objects of ritual and remembrance. Creating such carbon copies lessens their sentimental value, but allows the objects to be appreciated purely for their delicacy and aesthetic.
My aim is to produce pieces of hand crafted, wearable jewellery that are unique. I use recycled precious metals where possible and found objects to make the individual pieces as ethical and sustainable as possible. I believe that hand made jewellery should not necessarily be exclusive, so I have a wide range of prices available.
Feel free to get in touch if you like my work, each carefully hand crafted piece can be made to order with personal detailing or chosen from the current collections available. Wholsesale prices on request.
